Most the Play Store visitors viewed the platform as strictly transactional — a place to download what they came for and leave after purchase. But with so many games and apps to explore, Google wanted to vistors to engage the space as a place to play, engage, and become part of a community.
Putting the ‘fun’ in Functional
We developed Google Play Live to shift visitors’ perceptions of the Play Store by inviting popular creators to demo, discover, celebrate, and bond over games and apps during an 8-hour interactive Live stream. From crowd pleasers to hidden gems, our band of enthusiastic creators reacted, competed, and shared hot tips and recommendations inspiring viewers to join the fun.
